It's great to see so many new portable field recorders on the market! Roland has just introduced their newest foray into the field with the R-05. The R-05 has 24/96 capture, "enhanced recording and editing features", and a long 16 hour battery life. This recorder uses SD cards and comes with a windscreen and tripod mount. It also can loop audio and change tempo without changing pitch. Add the built in reverb and this portable recorder could easily be used on stage to run ambient sounds.
