Rackflip!

New from Theodore Jordan, the man behind New Atlantis Audio comes Rackflip! A website for Reason/Record based refills, tutorials, reviews and news! Theo's been hinting at this for quite a while and this site really shines. Here's the breakdown from the man himself on what it's all about:

Welcome to Rackflip!

Hello Propellerhead World! Welcome aboard. We’re kicking this off with a quick primer on what Rackflip is all about, and what you can expect to find here going forward. Let’s get right to it then…

Rackflip is a small network of websites designed to help curate, cultivate and contribute to the awesome content that is pouring out of the Reason/Propellerhead community these days. Here’s what we’re up to:

The Blog
You are already here, hello again. This blog will be featuring interesting Reason-related content from all over the interwebs, especially stuff related to Reason ReFills, Reason sound design, interesting music created with Reason and the interesting people behind it all. It’s built for short-form content, but expect a tolerable amount of commentary, and the occasional overly wordy post (like this one).

Best thing about the blog is that it’s designed for you to easily contribute to as well. Want to promote your new ReFill release? Pimp your latest video tutorial? Show off your rack? Want to write an exclusive article or review, or just promote one on your own site? It’s all welcome. You can even publish questions and get answers published. It’s super easy. Just click the big chalkboard up on the right, punch in some content and submit. If it’s good, we’ll publish it here on the blog toot sweet. It’s ready for you now.

The ReFill Gallery
This is the main Rackflip website. It’s a curated gallery/shop to get your hands on unique ReFills from independent sound developers and artists. Aside from being easy on the eyes, it supports a wide variety of payment methods, multi-language checkout and true instant downloads. Click, pay, download - right in the browser.

Like the blog, the gallery is also open to folks designing awesome ReFills of their own. If you’re making great stuff and want some distribution, do head over there and get in touch. We’d love to hear what you’re working on.

The Designer Gallery
Much like the ReFill gallery, the Rackflip Designer Gallery will showcase talented independent Reason sound designers and content creators. ReFill makers, tutorial gurus and more.

Anyone who contributes great stuff to the Reason sound community is welcome on the shelves. The Designer Gallery will be open and ready for your submissions soon, so get your mugshots and bios ready!

The Podcast
We’re gearing up for this one now and are hoping to launch it soon. The Rackflip podcast will feature interviews with the kinds of talented folks we’ve been talking about above. The sound designers, ReFill makers and Reason gurus who make the community tick and help make your Reason tracks sound so damn good.

If you’re interested in making an appearance, have show ideas or want to help out in any way please get in touch any time. We’re all ears.

That about covers it for now. We’d love to see Rackflip become a valuable and meaningful resource for both Reason users and content makers everywhere. We’re constantly kicking ideas around, and you’ve probably got plenty of good ones of your own. Please get in touch any time. We want to hear from you.

More from us soon.
