This looks like a fun weekend project:
This new kit from GetLoFi.com is a Quad Oscillator circuit based
on the 4093 Logic IC. Each Oscillator can be independently tuned
to create a polyphonic drone tone or pulsing beep tones. Super
easy to assemble and fun to twiddle the knobs on. This sound
generating circuit can be further processed and enhanced through
the use of guitar effects.
This particular build of the kit features a 1590 metal enclosure and
a Tone control circuit. The output is standard 1/4 inch instrument
jack. 9 Volt battery for power source.
