Line 6's Propellerhead Product Specialist Matt Piper will demonstrate editing and mixing techniques, using several example projects to show attendees how to make the most of the powerful and intuitive tools in Propellerhead's Reason and Record music production software.

Schedule:

Introduction (10 min.)

Editing (40 min.)
By the end of this section, participants will be able to:

- Use the Comp Editor for assembling master takes

- Use ReCycle to slice up a live instrument performance and then quantize the performance in the Record sequencer.

- Use Neptune to pitch-correct vocals including vocal harmonies.

Break (10 Min.)

Mixing (90 min.)
By the end of this section, participants will be able to:

- Fully understand all functions of the Record Channel Strip, top to bottom.

- Use Parallel Processing

- Use sidechain compression to make space for an instrument in the mix (such as a snare drum).

- Use EQ, HPF/LPF, panning, and reverb to give each track its own defined sonic space in the mix.

- Build custom channel strips for advanced mixing in Reason.
