Cathedral Scan at Old St. Patrick's (excerpt)
"Cathedral Scan" translates the architectural plans of Gothic cathedrals into open-ended musical scores via custom software. Treating the plans as a kind of map, in the live performance Carrington navigates through them to create diverse rhythms, drones and textures. This version is documentation from the CD release concert at the Basilica of Old St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York on March 3, 2011. More images and videos at blakecarrington.com/016.php.
