On this day in 1966 guitarist/vocalist Mary Hansen was born in Maryborough, Australia. Mary is most famous for playing in the group Stereolab, which she joined in 1992 after opening for them with The Wolfhounds (which she sang back-up vocals in.) Sadly Mary Hansen was killed on December 9, 2002 when the bicycle she was riding in London was struck by a truck. She was 36 at the time of her death, she'd be 43 today. R.I.P.
