Diego Stocco - Luminopiano Preview

Recently Sound Designer/Composer Diego Stucco was invited to guest lecture at the Art of Sound in Santa Monica, CA, where he previewed his new Luminopiano custom instrument:

"It's an instrument based on eight lightbulbs, with a microphone carefully placed inside each one. By tapping the lightbulb, the internal filament vibrates and makes a very nice sound, and each one sounds different because of the size of the filament and placement of the microphone."

"Four of the devices are producing sound, and Lemur is wirelessly controlling effects and live looping in Ableton Live. Nothing was pre-recorded or pre-sequenced for this performance."

Apps used: Physynth by Simian2, AffinityBlue's NodeBeat, Lemur by Liine, and two instances of Moog's Animoog.
