Rob Papen Quad RE!

Rob Papen has a new RE coming soon to the Prop Shop and it's a beauty! Dubbed QUAD, this new synth features some deep modulation possibilities, cross modulation of the oscillators and two big old X / Y pads to get crazy with... Which of course are assignable! Check it:

"QUAD is the first Rack Extension synthesizer built from the ground up for Reason by the Rob Papen team. It features two oscillators with a seemingly simple arsenal of classic waveforms. The sonic palette is huge though, through the vast modulation possibilities that QUAD has to offer.

The oscillators can be combined through many cross modulation functions – generating a wide range of harmonics. The next steps in the sound sculpting are the Phase Distortion and Wave Shaper. These tools are brought to life by four XY-Pads, which can be moved through an extensive modulation matrix. The movements can be recorded as automation directly into Reason’s sequencer.

QUAD’s oscillators are complemented by two top notch analogue modelled filters, an arpeggiator and two high quality effects processors.

Welcome to the new refreshing synthesizer QUAD – only in Reason!"

RP•Verb Rack Extension!

Rob Papen released his RP•Verb effects device into the Reasonverse today! I had the pleasure of beta-testing this bad boy and let me tell you, it brings something extra special to the Reason Rack. Check it out:

"When it comes to a pristine, authentic reverb, it's the algorithm that counts. RP-Verb is the fruit of Rob Papen's decades-long study of reverb. With countless hours of exploring, testing, and tweaking by Rob himself and Jon Ayres, the result is exactly what you would expect: a stunning, musical reverb that brings unmatched dimension and fullness to your mixes. RP-Verb is "the Reverb" that you have waited years for to use in your Reason rack!"

SubBoomBass RE!

Rob Papen has unleashed SubBoomBass on the Reason Rack! When I first heard about Papen releasing Rack Extensions this was the one I was hoping for:

"SubBoomBass RE has been carefully crafted to provide you with the tools to create fresh new bass lines. It includes unique tuned drum percussion samples which are great for Hip Hop and RnB basses but can also be used to add rhythm flavour to your tracks.

Also check out the innovative 'Wave-sequence' feature which will open up brand new sonic possibilities for your music.

Other features included are two effects slots which can be modulated using midi from any of the synthesizer parts."

SubBoomBass is available thru 2012 at the introductory price of $79 USD!

Rob Papen Distort RE!

Out today - RP Distort! First off this is one awesome effects device, with cabinet simulation, 4 band EQ, an awesome filter section, compressor, stereo widener and finally a gate. But the real magic begins when using the modulation section complete with 4 multi-wave LFOs with "Shape" and "Hum" controls and 4 mod bus slots where the user can choose both the source and destination. I for one can't wait to run the new Radical Keys RE thru this device. RP Distort is available for the introductory price of $25 USD thru December! Check out some audio:

Predator RE!

Predator, the rack extension from Rob Papen we've all been waiting for is in the Prop Shop!!! Now I was lucky enough to beta test this bad boy and I've got to say it is the greatest instrument unleashed upon the Reason Rack since the mighty Thor. What really makes Predator special in my opinion are the Oscillators. Between FM, PM, and Ring Mod functions (Oscs 2 + 3), 128 waveforms (from classic analog waves to spectral and additive), a Sub Oscillator for all three Oscillators, Symmetry control (very very cool) and Pulse Width Modulation for EVERY waveform, the breadth of sound sculpting is remarkable! And there's still the extensive filter section (with 27 filter types, including comb and formant), a modulation matrix, arpeggiator, chord memory, unison, and 25 effects for further patch creation. And say you don't like to roll our own when inspiration calls - 4000 presets are included in Predator with an easy to use patch browser that will help you find the right sound for your track in no time. Now I could go on and on about how much I love this synth, but the greatest thing about the new Propellerhead Rack Extension Store is the ability to try before you buy, so what are you waiting for? Download Predator from the Prop Shop right now!
