On this day in 1987 Peter Tosh was gunned down in his own Jamaican home by a group of thieves, along with DJs Doc Brown and Jeff "Free I" Dixon. Tosh, a founding member of The Wailers will be awarded the Jamaican Order of Merit this coming October, the nation's fourth highest honor.
